Changing Environment

We advocate for the sustainable use of wetlands, develop solutions for the ecological utilisation of the sea floor and make operations in geochemical risk areas safe and cost-efficient.

We conduct research to find ways to efficiently use wetlands as carbon sinks and to develop peat products with a high processing rate. The refined sea floor geodata we produce assists in the sustainable use of sea areas. We determine the background concentrations of soil and its degree of contamination and evaluate risk management of harmful substances and the recovery of excavated soil. We also take into account the use of acid sulphate soil in land-use planning.

We also keep the environment in mind in all our operations and acknowledge the risks brought by climate change.

We predict the effects of climate change on land and in the sea.
