Geological solutions: GTK’s Annual Report 2019 has been published

In 2019, there was a lot of public discussion related to solving the challenges of climate change, for example. Last year was the final year of our strategy period and we successfully improved our operations in all the focus areas of the strategy and our effectiveness was strengthened. At the same time, we had our sights firmly set on the future. Last year, we included all GTK personnel and our customers in comprehensive discussions on what our future holds and what solutions geology could bring.

We feel geology has a lot to offer.

”To resolve the major global challenges, such as urbanisation, access to clean water, climate change and sufficiency of critical raw materials, we need the latest research data. The solutions also necessitate strong cooperation and multidisciplinary research”, writes GTK’s Director General Mika Nykänen in his review.
