The GTK search and download service Hakku has been updated – spatial data products now support area selection

GTK has developed the spatial data products in Hakku to better meet client needs. Hakku now supports area selection by clients and the acquisition of paid spatial datasets as self-service. Payments and downloads are available from the same location. This streamlines data acquisition and improves its flexibility.

The first self-service products include Bedrock observations, Bedrock drilling and GTK Detailed till geochemistry data.

You can select a custom area with the cropping tool on top of the map or by uploading a geospatial data file. The area selection persists across products in the product page. The new selectable area products are available for one year through the client-specific interface service. Downloads are available through order history.

You can view the user ID’s for the interfaces and your order history by logging in to your account. All purchased data layers included in the interface service can be viewed and are updated in the same service.

The service now includes an improved map view and search function. You can sort the products by time of update and preview a sample file that shows the product content and structure before making a purchase.
