The Geo Exhibition in Espoo highlights Finland’s geology
What kinds of geological natural resources do we have? What is our geological history? And what new discoveries can geology still bring?
The Geo Exhibition at GTK’s Espoo office guides visitors through geological phenomena and topics, showing how geology affects both individual lives and the well-being of humanity.
The exhibition’s extensive geological samples are linked to the periodic table of elements, the history of Finnish geology and mining, as well as everyday activities and products. Visitors can explore Finland’s geological history and its impact on landscapes and modern life using, for example, a giant interactive tablet.
Geology has many dimensions—both in the Earth’s history and in our daily lives. The renewed exhibition offers moments of insight and discovery, demonstrating how deeply modern society depends on nature.
