Introduction
SAFER research program is replacing KYT and SAFIR research programs for nuclear safety research. In the RACEMAT project we investigate the transport of radionuclides in cementitious materials. The research is integrally linked to the safety assessment of low and intermediate level waste (LILW) final deposition. We are investigating eg. radioactive cementitious materials from the final deposition site and the transport of radioactive marker chemicals in similar cementitious materials.
