Areas of expertise:

I am an environmental geologist and worked at the Geological Survey of Finland as a researcher since 2013. Mining environments, extractive waste management and utilization opportunities of extractive waste and side streams are my main interests. My research in the Water and Mining Environment Solutions unit contributes to supporting more sustainable mining.

I have also worked as a mineralogist at GTK Mintec in Outokumpu, performing mineralogical analysis using a scanning electron microscope (SEM-MLA) with Mineral Liberation Analyzer software and X-ray diffraction (XRD). At the beginning of my career, I worked in mineral exploration.
