Introduction

The objective of the project is to develop a definition of a nature value hectare for decommissioned peat production areas. For four selected target states (rewetting to form an ombro/oligotrophic Sphagnum-dominated mire, a mesotrophic mire, a eutrophic mire, and rewetting as a wetland) a set of indicators and a calculation methodology will be developed. These will be structurally aligned with the methodologies produced within the BOOST project. In addition, the climate impacts of the target states will be reported, where data are available.
