Areas of expertise:

Senior Scientist at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) with 40+ years of experience in bedrock geology, ore deposit research and mineral systems analysis. My expertise covers Archean greenstone belts, komatiitic Ni–Cu–PGE systems, Svecofennian intrusions and layered intrusions, supported by a strong background in fieldwork, lithogeochemistry, ore modelling and mineral potential assessment.
I have led several national mineral potential assessment projects and held multiple leadership roles within GTK’s Bedrock Geology and Resources Division. I am a European Geologist (EurGeol), Qualified Person (EFG License 1014), and Associate Professor in petrology (University of Helsinki) and magma petrology (University of Turku).
Open to collaboration with research, industry, and organizations interested in mineral systems, critical raw materials, and the geology of Finland.
