Areas of expertise:

I’m a geomicrobiologist with current research interests in environmental microbial ecology, functionality, microbe-mineral interactions and biologically mediated global elemental cycling. I’m currently working in Academy of Finland -funded project on linking microbial ecology and functionality to methane cycling in black schist-rich bedrock. I’m also involved in other groundwater-related projects and Baltic sea sediment FeMn-concretions studies.
